Booker T. Washington said . . .

"There is another class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs -- partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs....There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who do not want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public."

Could he possibly have had premonitions about people such as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton?

Google's search results . . .

Ok, so apparently there was some sort of issue over a picture of Michelle Obama edited to look more monkey-like. There was controversy over Google not excluding it from their search results. I think Google did the right thing by not removing it from their search index. It's not their job to censor. The picture was originally on some blog, and the blogger elected to take it down, which is their right to do, too.

However, if you missed the picture, and REALLY want to see it, here it is (in lower resolution, I would imagine . . . )

Now, some have suggested that the doctored photo isn't even of Michelle Obama. So, below, I have provided the original photo from which the artist worked. . .
