Booker T. Washington said . . .

"There is another class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs -- partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs....There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who do not want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public."

Could he possibly have had premonitions about people such as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton?

Ok, for what it's worth, here's my opinion . . . if the national health care train wreck becomes law, employers are going to have to lay off people so they can offset the money they will have to spend on mandated employer contributions to health care. Presuming the employer was not stupid enough to support Obama and his rape-Americans agenda, the employer should find lay-off candidates from among those employees who supported Obama, and give them the 'change' that they're due. So many people will be seeking jobs, that they won't be able to find employment, and they can go on to the Obama-care health plan that they so richly deserve. . .

"If you think health care is expensive now, just wait until it's 'free'!"

Hold on to your guns and religion, Americans. They might be the only thing that preserves your freedom.

Runny eggs

Are runny eggs safe to eat? This sandwich came from the breakfast menu where I work.

'Tis a sad thing . . .

when someone has to tell adults such things. This was a 'sticky note' inside one of the stalls in a men's room where I work.
