Booker T. Washington said . . .

"There is another class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs -- partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs....There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who do not want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public."

Could he possibly have had premonitions about people such as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton?

Need seeds . . .

Well, I have a, perhaps odd, request. Is there anyone who reads my posts that has some non-GMO, non-hybrid, "heirloom" seeds of any type of vegetable which would grow well in central Indiana that you would be willing to give away? I don't need many, just some to start out. I'm also looking for some asparagus, onion, and garlic. If you're local, I'd be happy to come and get whatever you're willing to give. If you wish to mail some, let me know, and I'll provide you with my mailing address. Just, please, make sure that whatever you give is non-GMO, non-hybrid, "heirloom". I want to be able to harvest some seeds and give away, myself. Thanks!
